Flawed Coot Logic

Seems like the Coots can't stop yapping about how bad our defense is going to be next year because of all the players we lose and how much better their's is going to be because of the JC player's and HS recruits they have coming in.
So let me get this straight...Those JC players who just arrived on campus and have never played or practiced a single snap against D1 talent in their careers are going to better than backups like Lawson, Reader, Ogundecko, Watkins, Aiken, Pagano, Boulware, Goodson, O'daniel, and Register who have been on campus 2-3 years practicing and playing alongside players like Jarrett and Beasley every day? Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

The logic here is that the Dirtpecker faithful have a hangover . They still think that 2009-2013 are a thing , and it isn't . They still think that Spurrier is gonna keep it going . He isn't.

I'm hoping for something in the top 15-20 range...I'm thinking that's achievable based on the amount of athletic talent we have alone...Depth, experience and leadership will be our biggest issues...I see us playing really inconsistent early in the season, but getting better as things gel and the leaders emerge.

Let'em crack on our defense all they want....

they couldn't stop the Tiger offense with a one-legged rookie QB and a bunch of other freshmen in other skill positions....they'll ALL have another year in the system alongside a stellar recruiting class......the chicken's main problem is they can read the writing on the wall just like Clemson fans can....

Yep, the music has stopped and lights have turned on, but the coots haven't realized the party is over and it's time to go back to the trailerhome.

They don't seem to understand that most our 2015 two deep have three years under BV and his system. This is a talented, experienced, and hungry bunch who have been brought up around nothing but success.

We have Venables. Nobody else does . There is your tipping point. There is your difference maker. Venables. That is why we don't worry about the Tiger defense these days. Next up .

Is it possible for Coot logic not to be flawed?

"flawed" before "coot logic". Because it is of the coots, it is flawed. Just sayin...

I wouldn't be surprised if both the offense and defense both finished in the top 15 next year. The offensive key to success is Watson staying healthy of course.

With the weapons we have, we really dont need DW to run that much. Run the offense, get the ball into the hands of the play makers, chuck the ball down field, hand off to the RBs. THe occasional wide open run will be there. I also see very competent back ups in Bryant and Israel.
Defensively, BV is there, but so are the positional coaches in Brooks, Hobby and Reed. Those guys help make Clemson's defense tough. Good to see us start off with Wofford and App State, two games we can use to get our confidence. Remember, our National CHampionship season started with Wofford. Just sayin.
