QBs: Cade is a game manager type QB. He can't carry a team like Trevor or Deshaun. I know that's upsetting given his high school ranking. As of right now, Pearman should the #2. CV has potential, but like Cade, he really struggles post-snap and seeing the field.

RBs: Nobody stuck out. Mafah has to be healthy and ready to carry the load. Jay Haynes offers speed and explosiveness that will help us this year. I hope he stays healthy.

WRs: Blocking is still bad. But it was nice to see Antonio and Randall make plays. Wesco looks like a future phenom.

TEs: Elite group. Sapp is clearly #2. OPH had some drops, but still love his potential. Bentancur will be here in the summer. This has to be one of the best TE rooms in the country.

OL: LT is a concern once again. Linthicum and Sewell looked capable at C. We really need Tate, Parks, and Miller to have their best seasons.

DE: Loved this group. Parker and Woods will start. Denhoff and Hoffler proved that they can be solid contributors/backups. Lawson looked like someone that can help us win too. The Rumph hire is already paying huge dividends.

DT: Elite group. Capehart, Page, and Tre are all high level. Stephiylan flashed in last years spring game, as well as this years. The coaches rave about Burley. Both freshmen are big. Love this group.

LB: Elite group. Woodaz will have a breakout, All-ACC, type season. Loved Anderson out of high school and was excited to see him dominate the game. Sammy Brown is as advertised. This group will be better than what it was last year.

CB: Avieon is elite and could have an All-American type season. Shelton is a capable starter. Strozier really impressed with his size and athleticism. Feagin looks like a guy that can contribute this year. If Lukus stays healthy, this group can be really really good.

S: Nobody stood out to me. But this is a veteran group. I have no concerns.

If I had to predict our record just solely based off the spring game, then I see us finishing 9-3. Cade just isn't good enough to carry us and the OL does us him no favors. However, if Cade starts living up to the hype, we're winning the ACC and returning to the playoffs. Go Tigers!

Reasonable assessment but think 10-2 is the floor. Don’t think we will need Cade to carry the team except against UGA/playoffs. Last year was more challenging and we’d have beaten FSU sans the fumble and missed fg. Probably win every game except Duke if not for the turnovers/fgs quite frankly.

I don’t know how we can say 10-2 is the floor after finishing 8-4 last year and signed 0 immediate impact players from the portal.

Kinda the way things work in college football. Upperclassman usually are leading great seasons. If Cade improves 10-2 is no problem. We could have been 10-2 or better last year without whacky turnovers in 4 losses. Think about it .. there’s context involved with those 4 losses. Freak turnovers were the difference.

To say 10-2 is the worst we can do is ridiculous to me. We went 8-4 and didn't bring in any transfers.

We are inexperienced again with 12 seniors, 13 juniors, 23 sophomores, and 36 freshmen.

why is everything always hinge on transfers? We got what we got, just deal with that. Another window opens in a few weeks so we are likely to lose a few and maybe pick someone up... just remember whoever we get is either unhappy with the program they are in or cannot crack the starting lineup where they are...

Portal players help. Just look at FSU last year.

I'm not arguing that we should flip our roster like them. But Clemson would have benefitted from signing 3-4 players from the portal. We went after a few OL, but didn't land any. We signed late addition recruits, who will redshirt, instead.

That's our issue at the moment. We miss on immediate impact players from the portal and sign recruits that redshirt instead.

Klubnik only improves if he transforms his body physically. He needs to get thicker and stronger. This growth translates exponentially to mental toughness. Doesn't look like he knows how to work out to me...I know J. Batson can do better. 90% of the team looks soft to me.

I think it's safe to assume that Cade is a hard worker. I imagine that translates to the weight room. We'd love to see him add 10 pounds of muscle to his frame this summer.

QBs: I think it's hard to judge Cade and Vizzina, play calling was radically different for each QB. It was like the coaches wanted specific work on things for each QB. Cade was RPO heavy, Vizzina and Pearman were getting alot more plays over the middle and quick rhythm plays(traditional air raid concepts). Pearman showed he belongs and should likely be #2.

RB:Agreed

WR: Wesco will be good, think he needs to play on the field side so he has room to work. He got bullied out of bounds on a designed snap Fade from Cade but when he had more room for the Pearman throw he was able to track the ball and attack it in air beautifully. He'll get bigger and stronger, very excited to see him. Tj Moore and Randall look like the body types for the boundary(now if Randall could just track the ball better he'd be nasty). Wr blocking still missing unfortunately.

TE: Love this group too. However do not believe it's a good thing when Patt-Henry is on the field he drops way too many passes(this goes back to last year).

OL: Never saw any push in the run game but they did seem to get better in pass pro as the game went along. Lot of work to do here, probably the most of all units.

I agree on all of your Defensive position groups. The defense is deep and fast, they will be the strength again.

Kicker might be the biggest improvement and I can see 2 more wins than last year just based on having a viable kicker.

Several plays that went for little to no gain because WRs missed on some blocks. It's frustrating. WR blocking is all about effort.

It's unfortunate to see.

I'm a firm believer in Riley as an offensive coordinator and future head coach. So I'm hesitant to put this on him. I tend to put the blame on the players. Last year was a good example. Cade wasn't very good, we don't have elite WRs, and our OL was pretty bad. It would be hard for any offense to find success while being weak at those 3 positions.

I think Cade, our WRs, and our OL will be better though. So I expect us to be better offensively.

In my opinion, Cade’s entire problem is mental. He’s got a great arm and good speed. He’s just slow to process things or gets a bit overwhelmed post snap. I’ve not seen much change with any of this over last season or through spring. Another issue is he’s not being pushed. CV will probably transfer as he is way over his head at CU. Pearman is a good athlete but is not the long term answer. He reminds me of Cade behind DJ. It’s different being the starter in a real game.
