A filet prepared right is the best, but a ribeye marinated in Lawrys teriyaki with a little splash of bourbon is good too !

Where does a prime rib fit in this equation? Also, are you in the upstate area?

try a chuckeye steak. It is the end cuts of the ribeye, and to me has better flavor that a ribeye and is much cheaper. I got one the other day that was 1 1/2 inch think and as big as a man's hande....$5.37. I actually cut it in half and just cooked one half.
Just be sure not to get chuck steak...make sure it is chuckEYE.

THICK Bone in ribeye or a big ole slice of prime rib with horseradish and the au jus. If you wanna go cheaper and hear the wife complain, chuck eye but it's still really good for what it is ....

I love a Pittsburgh style filet at a great steakhouse when I go out to eat. Filet definitely my choice when I am at a restaurant.
But I have not found a restaurant that can do a ribeye as good as I can do at home on the grill. I prefer the ribeye at home.

Prime rib is my favorite. Ribeye (prime rib cooked different) is my favorite of the above choices. Grill it with a bit of garlic powder, a lot of Louisiana hot sauce, and finish it off with butter.

Prime rib is best. But from your choices a thick cut ribeye cooked Pittsburg pink will do fine. Pittsburg pink is cooked on a very hot open flame and charred outside and rare to med rare inside.
