Heck yeah! If he could cut down the turnovers, he would be number 1!

And if we didn't take the entire 3rd Quarter and half of the 4th off, Jackson's stats would've been pedestrian and likely dropped him behind Deshaun in the Heisman race.

Dur!!!
An INT off the face mask of Mcloud and a strip fumble Leggette on the 4 yard line...oh yea...he definitely took the 3rd and 4th off.

Lot of football left to be played. Watson shooting for NATTY

UL shooting for Heisman for one player. UL leaves in Jackson in the game when its 50-10 in 3rd qtr. Watson will be pulled in the same scenario. I think chips fall in place and we get both. Go Tigers!

I know LJ is an excellent player but

How is everyone missing that he was COMPLETELY shut down until the 3rd qrtr when our D was completely physically gassed because they couldnt stay off the field because of the constant interceptions & fumbles? Am i seriously the only one that watched that game!? All i hear is how "good" he did & he "was the best player on the field that night". Go Tigers!

I'll add to that. Let's say only 2 players can win the Heisman Trophy. The two players teams play head to head. Player one leads team to 36 points leads the game in rushing, number of plays, and total yards. Sacked five times.
Player two averages 2.1 yards more per play and rush than player one, scores 42 points on 21 less plays despite being -2 in turn overs (the conversion doesn't count evidently)and had the most passing yards. Sacked zero times.
Who wins

Jackson's deep throws were off most of the night

his mid-range throws were OK. A slightly deeper defense, like Alabama, could shut him down all night.

That's Jackson in a nutshell! Where did this myth appear that he can throw a deep ball? This dude is all timing, check downs, and short routes....and when those aren't there he runs....Watson can hit a seem...drop it in on a dime on a post and flag routes. Jackson is a fast QB and who knows where the ball is going before he snaps it...he cannot read defenses! There were a bunch of times where he couldn't even read the defender in the zone read that would have went for a big play. He's a 2.0 version of Geno Smith.
