ex-RB Rencher said last night on Twitter that Dabo

knows what it takes & what happens when you sit a starting QB (TL16 for #2 who quit)..
and once Coach makes that decision he has to sit on that bloody sword.
And, Rencher then basically said it's a big boy game and the best must play.

I would love to hear what the players think about the situation. You know there has to be a divide if everyone answered honestly.

There is no doubt in my mind that Cade Klubnick would be at WORST equal to DJ right now as the starter. These first 3-4 weeks are about the right to say he had his chance to lock down the job. I feel confident holding off CK2 is going to be a monumental task for an improved, yet very below average DJU. I’ll be there Saturday to see Cade in play in person and I can’t wait.

We already know what they think by their play while Cade was in. They moved and worked as a unit with Cade. A cohesive unit!
With DJ, they could barely get out of each other’s way.

Agree. While stoked it ended up a blowout win , it was 14-10 deep into the 3rd qtr. We were fortunate tech made a crucial mistake of targeting. Even at that, it only ended in 3 points. Then we had the miracle play with ship and DJ tossed it backwards. While it ended up working, the tech guy was a fingernails away from turning that into a scoop and score and tie game... Kinda like the shuttle pass last year vs Pitt.

Who cares what the players think…You really care what players like Collins or Ngata think? They each dropped a crucial pass…as well as EJ williams.

Rencher is smart. He knows his stuff. We've got two games to get Cade some live meaningful reps. I hope we take advantage of it. I was very impressed with Cade's scramble decision to eventually throw the ball away. He gets to the edge quick while keeping his eyes downfield.

Rencher must be smart as he found an audience of followers who he disparages at every turn.

Correct and our coaches are paid exceptional amounts of money to make those decisions. Fans, if that is what you call people who gripe about every bad play, have no idea what it takes to coach and no idea what our coaches see in practice everyday. In Dabo we trust.

I am sure the coaches would prefer for the decision process to be private. Imagine no questions about QBs and we fans just cheer and do not whine for one or the other.
I would think the decision would still be the same whether we asked about it or not.
Dabo has to let it play out and let the team find for themselves just like as it happened for TL and KB.
Dabo gave one start to TL that was it, but the team knew and more importantly KB knew it would never turn back.
We have to reach that same plateau with these guys.
lets let it play out and step away from instant fan gratification.

It’s not Cades to win but DJ’s to lose

Dabo isn’t going to take it from him, he’s going to let him lose it on his own. It’s better for recruiting, locker room and a myriad of other things we as Tnetters don’t have to consider!
(Thoughts of a good friend of mine who’s help talk me off the ledge)
