ESPN made me lol again!

Showed a list of "notable" schools, about 12-15, that are replacing quarterbacks.
That list included Clemson, Cinncinati, UCF, Fresno State, Georgia and Washington. No South Carolina.
Made me chuckle and thought I would share.

could be because Shaw and Thompson were both considered starters (sharing the QB role) and one of them is still the QB this year, so not really a replacement as much as a shift to being the main guy.

Or that they are no longer a "notable" team. Lost in the SEC.

Georgia has a QB with two starts on their roster. Seems about the same to me.

Thompson has some big wins under his belt. Notably against possibly the best Clemson team in the past 25 years, IMO. So, they're not exactly breaking in a new QB.

That Secondary in 2012 was more experienced than this one coming back. With Meeks,Brewer,Hall, and Breeland. Not saying that this year won't be better because I think it will. But that was a good group.

You must not have been paying attention, but despite the talent of the first 3 in that list, they just never performed at a level necessary for us to have an elite defense.
Kearse and Alexander, in particular, have the physical tools those guys could only dream of. And even if they're inexperienced, they have a much better front 7 playing in front of them.

Not disagreeing. But haven't seen Alexander play. So not sure how that will shake out.

I already know he's the most physically talented pure defensive back to come through here in a long time. He just has to avoid injury and not go on a Chad Kelly path.
Even STS is bragging about him, and that just don't happen lol

Best team in 25 years? Wut? Do you REMEMBER that defense?

I'll give you a hint: It wasn't just terrible, it was TURRIBLE.
Thompson wasn't the only one who scored on that defense. He wasn't even the best at it.

I didn't say the best defense... I said best team. And I stand by that. There was more talent on that team than any other since the 80's.
