Duke loss by 21 still a head scratcher when you remember

Offense got well over 200+ yds in air & well over 200+ yds on ground, had 12 more 1st downs and many many more minutes of possession..but 2 fumbles near the 5 yd line negated all that effort..

then comes the great effort vs FSU until OT when the 4 downs called by staff and poorly executed by team negated that possible win..

all the while the D is ranked in Top 10 and in Top 5 in many categories.

Lastly, the WF game was just another sad reminder that the O is our Achilles heel.

Does Miami’s D rub ointment on it Or twist it?

I agree 100 percent that the O line is our problem but also there's been a lot head scratching play calls to. Would love to see us beat Miami by 2 scores Go Tigers

LBB, I've listened and read all the talking points. We've tended to rewrite the Duke narrative and remember the game differently as if we should have won. I know I've been TD for telling the truth but the fact is, Duke beat us. If anything, Duke could make the case they should have won by more. They gave us our only TD.

Go back and watch the game. Duke controlled the game more than you think. We played a really good Duke team and our defense lost the game as much as the offense did. Facts.

This is spot on. TU for facts. Anyone sensible who re-watches our two losses, Clemson was a better team for the second loss vs FSU. The overall prep and in-game coaching was also improved over what we saw in that first game. The turnovers make it easier to point at this play or that play and say the game would be different. IMO, FSU is better than Duke. We played a better FSU team much closer than we did at Duke.
