Do you think that Dabo would leave Clemson when...

Saban is done at Alabama? I feel sure that Alabama will go hard after Dabo when Saban steps down. I don't think Dabo would go anywhere else except for possibly Alabama. I would have to put it at 50%. Thoughts?

I think both men retire exactly where they are, honestly. All that talk about family, etc. that Dabo sets his foundation on would lose a lot of its luster if he chased the dollar signs. And Dabo, for whatever reason, doesn't strike me as the quitting type.

I would not want to be the first in line after Saban. Look what went on after the Bear left. Hard to follow a legend.

They fired Dabo, remember. Have to think long and hard about rewarding an organization who does that to you.

In a bit of a different context now but I get your point. He knows how Bama works. If he wants to get back into that he can. Personally I think what he has here is special enough he wouldnt prefer to leave it for there but who knows. They may want someone elsethen anyway

Hyperbole: a higher chance of Dabo winning the lottery than leaving for Bama. A chance but not much of one.

I think it would be very hard for Dabo to leave Clemson at this point. The longer it takes for Saban to retire the less likely Dabo would be to leave. At Clemson Dabo was given his opportunity, he was unceremoniously fired as an assistant at Bama. He has been given free rein in shaping the program at Clemson in his image. Dabo has the chance to be a legend the likes of Danny Ford if he stays, if he leaves to go to Bama he would likely be overshadowed, especially if he followed immediately after Saban.
He has talked a lot about how he has put down roots in Clemson and it's where his family has grown up. Plus his son will likely be a WR for Clemson next year after he graduates from Daniel HS.
Also, I cant imagine why anyone would choose Tuscaloosa over Clemson from a place to live standpoint.
