When DJ started in place of TL16 during the Covid ND game, I have looked forward to this game Saturday. In 2020, I thought about how polished and lethal DU5 would be when Clemson returned to South Bend in 2022. The time is now. This is DJ’s moment. I have my bag packed and am ready to travel. I will be DJ’s biggest cheerleader Saturday night. Spot the dang ball and Go Tigers!!!

…performance that day in South Bend, how many of us would have believed we would be fretting about his start during this game?
He has to start. No question about that, but after last year, and with what we saw last week, we have absolutely no idea which DJ is going to walk onto the field next Saturday.

DJ had much better receivers in that game in 2020. Just imagine him throwing to Tee Higgings, Mike Williams, Hunter Renfrow, Sammy Watkins, Amari Roger’s or Nuke Hopkins. What would DJ’s numbers look like with any combination of these receivers?

If things go according to "Dabo's Way", which is the way things have generally gone since he became HC at Clemson, DJ will be given a great opportunity to lead our Tigers to 9-0 and continue to develop our Offense for the "Championship Phase" of the season.
This is what I expect to see from our QB and the Offense as a whole. Historically, the odds are very much in favor of this steady and relentless progression to be on full display this week.

but expect his worst. We've seen glimpses of his best this year but they all were fleeting. I expect we will win this game but I am depending on DJ at most to manage the offense and do not burden him with expectations that he win the game for us.

That the Tigers have the running game in high gear when the Irish kickoff to them Saturday. I’m just not very confident that DJ can win this game with his passing skills and the receivers that he has to throw to!
The Clemson teams of old excelled in games like this because everyone only the field knew that someone would make a good play every snap. We don’t have that kind of team this year.
Who is that guy who will not let the Tigers lose? Shipley ? DJ? .????
