I'm really surprised they went through the trouble of arresting him. Don't know all the details but generally this sort of thing (From my experience anyway) results in calling a ride to pick you up and a stern warning to take it easy. Not usually worth the time to bring someone in unless they pose a risk to themselves or others by letting them go sleep it off on their own.

This is a yearly thing down at UGA. Dabo would have stopped before it got started. Kirby runs an undisciplined program much like Urban Meyer. UGA’s motto just win baby ! Education ???? What’s that ????? Rules ! They have rules at UGA ! Wow no body told me ! ??
This is why the coots always tried to play UGA early. Usually a few key players were out for that game. Gave the coots a better chance of winning.

I dislike UGA too and believe it is a program they may come crashing down because from the top down I believe the Dawgs have their priorities in the wrong place. I never cheer when these players get into trouble because they could be jeopardizing their future.
These athletes are given great opportunities to take advantage of which could help them succeed in life. Unfortunately some of them waste those opportunities by making bad decisions like Stetson Bennett and the UGA employees and players who left the strip club intoxicated. Then deciding to drive I assume back to campus. For the UGA employees and the two people who lost their lives tragically there is not a do over for them. Praying UGA and the families who lost loved ones.
I lived at Myrtle Beach all summer but did not take my first drink until the last week I was there. Big mistake ! I drifted away from my relationship with Jesus Christ. I started partying with friends and doing making bad choices in life. When I graduated from college I had a long road back re-establishing my relationship with Christ. It was very difficult mountain to climb back up.
Prays for Stetson Bennett and many other young people that they will make smart decisions. Sometimes It just takes one mistake to negatively affect your future.

Has the toxicology report been released? If not, how do you know they were intoxicated? How do you know the driver wasn't just driving too fast or had fallen asleep? You have an earlier post in this thread in which you seem to express quite a bit of glee over how bad you think UGA is. Throws a little cold water on your "my relationship with Jesus" claim.

UGA players constantly run into legal trouble while playing at UGA. It is a fact !

Because the cameras in downtown Athens showed it and the report by the AJC reported the driver had been drinking. They were at a strip club, they left about 3:15 AM with UGA staff in a rented Vehicle by UGA. Then 20 minutes later then accident occurred. I feel bad for all of those involved. But they had been drinking !
I guess Stetson Bennett was not drunk in Dallas? He just started knocking on doors of people he did not know.

Is it that unthinkable that he might need to unwind just a tad from the regimen he's been on? He's a 25 year old kid that will now transition into something else far less exciting. Nobody on the board ever got drunk in college and did silly things?
Rather hear what Tiger wide receiver recruits run the 100M in since the cupboard appears to be bare. Heard on Clemson sports radio that the 2 fastest laser timed 40's on the team are Shipley at 4.45 and Stellato at 4.43. Of course only one has ever played. So, basically nobody at WR or DB. Back to when the Chad arrived and declared he had more speed on his HS team. And don't mention Williams. He ran an 11.20 100 meters. Time to rebuild and let the Dogs move on to trying for the 3 peat.

I think I would highly dispute the "studying" part. I understand that he is going to graduate in May! Really ....... six years to get a degree from UGA. We have players getting their degree in 2 1/2 years.
