Yep, I just told my wife that our problem was a Rock. She didn't have a clue of what I was saying until I showed her the video. She laughs and says so we need to get a rock for good luck. I laugh and told her dammmn the luck, we need one to give our old A$S some energy!!! She agrees with that also

Very cool. I got a rock of my own while in Death Valley, CA this summer. I'll post some pictures after I get off work!

I think this is awesome! If there's one, you know there are many more future Tigers of America.
Does anyone know what state they live in?

That's not the full story. Instagram comments even better

gottliebshow: "A week and half ago Hayes, Grace and I watched the #Clemson #Louisville game. #ESPN did an amazing job of showing the players route to the field and it culminates with them touching Howard's Rock. I told Hayes the back story and he saw the crowd and was hooked. There is something more to this. I take great pride in explaining things to my kids, Hayes especially, and it seems like he listens
But in my mind the takeaway is that: 1)images on TV matter. Kids are always watching and they imitate what they see. The NFL is in a tough spot in managing the egos of players and being the bad guys with their celebrations, but kids are watching and that is what they imitate, for example. I want television companies to be more conscience of the commercials w/guns, violence and images that are played during sporting events.
2)The other part of this story is that traditions are phenomenal, especially when they unite and excite people for an event. If we, as storytellers, do our job, the traditions will not only live on, they can actually grow in lore. A story like Howard's Rock can be told to kids who live 1000s of miles away. Hayes might not have dreads, but maybe my dude will ball in Death Valley some day, in the meantime, he has his own rock to get him game ready."
