Dabo struck it rich with RN. He will bring many others with

him. Serious shots at Adams, Kearse, and Walker. Maybe another LB or two and then knock on Kendall Fuller's door and we have a future BAMA last year type of defense.

I was thinking about next year with our possible recruits:

DEs: 5 star Nkemdiche, 4 star Shaquille Lawson, 4 star Elijah Wood, 4 star Beasley, High 3 star Crawford (Plays like a blue chip),

DT: 5 star Adams, 4 star Barnes, 4 star Watkins, High 3 star Williams

LBs: 5 star Anthony/Steward 4 star Parker, Townsend, O'daniel, Bryant

Secondary: 5 star Fuller 4 star Blanks, Robinson, Davis 3 star Breeland, Kamara, All those seniors

Best part is, ALL of our 3 stars play with incredible potential and wayyy above their star ranking. I don't buy into stars completely but that is going to be a STACKED defense in 2013 and 2014.

I also think we have than 50% chances with both

Derrick Green at rb and Marquez North at WR. Both of who are top 50 rivals prospects regardless of position

Crawford was a high four star and the #1 rated prepschool player coming out of Hargrave.

i was looking at rivals today and crawford was a 4-star,

Jun 17, 2012, 2:15 PM [ in reply to Re: Dabo struck it rich with RN. He will bring many others with ]

rated at 5.9 , that is the highest you can go without being a 5-star, i THINK (not sure on that), but i do know he was the #4 rated de in the nation coming out of hs, and the #1 de (and player, regardless of position, out of juco, by some sources.)crawford and "deche" would be one heck of a pair of book-ends.

Kearse is a no go for me...

Jun 17, 2012, 1:39 PM

arrested at 14, two decommits before his senior season. I'm all for second chances, but I would prefer not to have someone on the team that is going to be a distraction.

Same could be said of Elijah, I'm pretty sure he was suspended from a lot of games last year with off the field issues.

I don't mind though. If there is anywhere that can teach these kids to be respectable men, its Clemson. Dabo wouldn't offer unless he was willing to give 100% into helping these kids mature.

Re: Dabo struck it rich with RN. He will bring many others with

Agreed; I'm loving the depth we are building right now on both sides of the ball (especially defense for the 2013 class obviously).

We've got rock star depth at WR, we've started to get some depth at RB again, we are bringing in quality depth behind Tajh, Brandon Ford is a great replacement for Dwayne Allen (and I think we are recruiting some more TE for this/next year's class as well), our O-Line has been getting praise from coaches this spring despite being a bit young (and we are recruiting some other guys there, too).

On Defense, we are building another super D-Line like the one from two years ago. I think we will arguably have the best DE combo in Clemson history and it will probably be pretty #### good compared to others in the nation. Throw in a Montravius Adams with another one of our DTs and we have a nasty D-Line. Add in the linebacker class we have coming in with Anthony, Steward, etc and you have one of the top LB corps, too. If we can snag Kendall Fuller at CB and use our existing depth at DB there, too, our D is looking dominant.

Add on top of all the recruiting some of the top coordinators in the country and some of the best position coaches in the country and our skill level will be through the roof. I really can't wait to see how the Tigers start to shape up in the next few years to come.

and by 'add on top' regarding the coaches, I mean we already have it and that's just icing on the cake. I really like the coaching staff Dabo has put together.

Is recent UGA de-commit and 5-star RB Derrick Henry

Jun 17, 2012, 1:49 PM

on our board at all? I saw where we'd offered and we're listed in the "no interest" category (on his part), but with a recent top-10 NFL draft pick from that position in Spiller and a growing stack of offensive talent, seems like we'd be an attractive program for him about this time, especially considering that we're looking a little soft at RB right now on the depth chart.

I believe Clemson's position with Derrick Green is better than alot of people might think so I don't see us even going after Derrick Henry.

the impression I've gotten from reports and articles on the

you are wrong. if that were the case we wouldn't have had all our nfl draft picks go as high as they did. i've never seen or heard about clemsons' draft picks coming into the league as weak or soft. if you have, please provide the links for all of us to see.
