that is college football before last night. Does anyone honestly think he saw how great the disparity is between Clemson and Georgia and that it all of a sudden made him want to embrace it and up his game? If anything it may have sped up his exit, although making what he does why would he give that up and walk away. He can just coast now and collect a top five head coach paycheck the next few years without any ramifications or pressure. We are in the same boat at Texas A&M with Jimbo Fischer. Hope I’m wrong about that.

It’s down to three teams, EVERY YEAR. UGA, Alabama, Ohio State. EVERY YEAR. Sure, they’ll lose their occasional game, and the occasional Cinderella will slip up now and then and win it.
BUT, for the most part, they are the champs until the NCAA finds a way to level the field.

Agree. Had we beat the Coots and slid in at #4, GA would have done to us what they did last night. Definitely a dynasty in Athens.

Perhaps that would have been Dabo's 2nd WVU moment - and the impetus for the changes that many here are hoping for.

They've found a way with the playoffs.
Parity has already increased with 4 teams, going to 12 will make it much harder to win it all.

Have any of the you ever been around someone that’s just negative all the time? Everything is nearly as bad as it can get, and no sign anything will ever get better. If you haven’t, you’re probably that person…
Are you suggesting Dabo doesn’t want to win? That he just threw up his hands and said “welp that’s good enough”?

he refuses to play by the "new rules". He continues to think he can "win it all" the same way he did in 2016/2018.

https://www.on3.com/nil/rankings/player/college/football/College Football NIL Rankings A ranking of College Football recruits. These rankings are based on the potential influence they have as an individual.
they also don't have the likes of Brannon Spector or Drew Swinney playing getting meaningful playing time in NY6 games.
If you don't see where Dabo is falling short then I can't help you.......that's your choice to stick your head in the sand.

Not my fault you're a functional idgit when it comes to that little nugget.
And you don't need my help looking daft, you've always done a perfectly fine job of that on your own.
Now go back to curling up on the couch and crying, it's when you're at your best.

what the entirety of the page you're on is used to discuss? You've been raging for how long now? You disappeared years ago, because you looked really dumb lashing out against TDP, Clemson, Dabo et al. Now you're back, more of the same.
Really not surprised in the least you don't see the "here"s and seemingly have no clue where you are... encumbered.
It's not a good look.

MANY times since he became HC. The first thing he did that showed he was the man for the job was he fired Napier and hired Chad Morris..........the next was hired BV.........and so on since.
but it is apparent that the Dabo of 2010-2018 is long gone..........so of course I'd be unhappy with the direction of the football program over the last 4 years........and in particular the last 2 with virtually no meaningful adapting to the new world. He can't run the program the same he did when he won in 2016. I think he knows that, but won't accept that.

offers transfers, but Dabo won't change. Dabo/Clemson build "Reign" empowering student-athletes with tools & skills to build their brands... again, Dabo won't change.
https://clemsontigers.com/reign/
This is the same "Clemson" fun base that said Dabo had to take JUCOs, even though Clemson was not set up to do so. Dabo sets sail on helping Clemson Admin and AD do just that, moving the curriculum to where JUCOs can be taken if needed.
Dabo won't change, just give it up.

Wow, Baltimore. I think you’re WAY off on that suggestion. Do you have anything at all to back that up? W-L records, Conference titles, CFP appearances, transfers out- anything? While I clearly recognize that the last 2 years have been down versus what we had become accustomed to, I am certain that our coaches and players are not coasting. And definitely nothing at all like Jimbo.

I don't believe Dabo Swinney is ready to play Humpty Dumpstery, idling on a fence while fiddling, as Clemson burns.
I suspect we are going to witness a whole new attitude, even among our staff, now that the former QB albatross is off their collective necks...something I hate to say, as I certainly don't lay the entire blame on DJ. Secondly, our fellows returning are going to be tremendous energizers, for I think those guys are in on something we lesser mortals aren't.
And, frankly, I'm excited about our prospects.

I got that feeling too. Kirby was telling his guys “We are not going to be Hunted” Dabo here going “Our Offense is designed to Take what the defense gives us” and “We get every teams Best Shot each week-to them we are Their Championship game”
Its time to be proud of the fact that we recognize college football changes and be proud we can change with it, not be stuck in some rut promoting from within to maintain continuity to some method that won years ago.
