Could Cade win the Heisman?

I love his leadership an I believe his ceiling is high because his faith he can get better after every game. I love that Dabo said he gets better with every snap.
He’s going to get so much better by seasons end, next year he’s going take a big jump because of his knowledge of the game and his drive.
I’m thankful we recruited him and he chose Clemson, he might be mentioned with Trevor & Deshaun if he continues to grow like he is now.
Imagine if he played more last season, we’d be undefeated in my opinion. No way should we have lost either game this season. It’s time to make the best of it and keep dreaming!

Its an award that excludes someone of Cades character

That award has become more of a “Scarlet Letter” than something to be cherished.
After years of watching Spiller, Deshaun, and Trevor kicked to the curb for the award and seeing who the award valued, it became clear to me that a Dabo-coached, Clemson player would never win this award. Knowing who and what that award is about, I’m quite content to never see it bestowed on a Clemson player.

Glad I’m not the only one who’s taken notice. It appears as if every time we have a one in a lifetime player at QB, they always give the award to a RB from BAMA. Even though our RB has more yards per game, yards per carry, touchdowns, and the whole stat chart. It’s insane so I say, keep the worthless trophy. We need the championship trophy and that’s all. Championship Rings don’t fit on smooth hands! Go Tigers 🐅

Y'all are crazy. Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Devenote Smith all had some of the best single seasons of all time. Not to mention that CJ, Deshuan, and Trevor all had performance reasons to fall short.
2009- We went 1-3 against ranked opponents and CJ only had 18 yards rushing agaisnt Scar 1 week before voting. Mark Ingram had played Scar earlier in the season and had 246 yards.
2015- 97 yards against ND (and before you say rain ND had 321 yards passing), only other ranked games was FSU and UNC before voting. Derrick Henry 5th greatest rushing yards in a season all time.
2016- Deshuan had 17 picks. 3 against Pitt that resulted in a loss. 3 against Louisville, 2 against FSU. All other Heisman trophy winning QBs are 10 or under.
2019- Trevor Lawernce 36 TDs 3665 yards to Joe Burrow 60 TDS and 5671 yards
2020- Trevor missed 2 games in a shortened season vs 1800+ yard receiving with 26 touchdowns in shortened season 1st all time in receiving yards in a season for a power five team.

Deshuan and Trevor could have won 5 times in the last decade. (2022 Caleb Willaims, 2018 Kyler Murray, 2017 Baker, 2014 Marucs Mariota, 2013 Jamies Winston). Some of it really is just luck of the season.

Sheeeet!!! That be crazy...
Agree with you 100%. When they took the word "Character" out of the Heisman requirements, I lost all interest in that award.

The way we manage games won't allow for a Heisman.

It is kinda a catch 22.
When Deshaun or Trevor were good enough to contend for the Heisman, the team was also good enough that we often would "shut it down" and go into a conservative mode. If we had a large lead, the back-up QB would be called into duty for meaningful reps. I firmly believe that is DW or TL had played a few extra series against the weaker competition, we'd have a Heisman winner at Clemson.

... so it is a distinct possibility.
The offense should be better next year than this year, and it's pretty darn good this year.

Considering Trevor nor Deshaun were able to win it and had very good #'s on championship teams...which does not mean anything considering they give them out after regular season which I personally think is not a great plan.
When a player accomplishes a season like DW4 and TL16 did with their championship runs, there is no way that both of them should not have been Heisman winners!!
In my book the Heisman is a wonderful trophy to attain, but really means very little if the actual best college football player does not win it and maybe that is my orange tinted glasses but that is how I feel regardless.

I dont see how Caleb Williams doesnt win it again... Their offense is amazing, but their defense is terrible so he has to play the whole game against mostly bad defenses so he is going to rack up like 50 TDs.
