Concerns for game Monday

Solid performance against a solid opponent in the Fiesta bowl... if there was anything Bama could use from that game, it would be:
1. Coverage on the deep ball. Two throws in the 2nd half, back to back, ended with PI calls. Not sure why OSU didnt keep throwing it but curious if Sark will challenge us here.
2. We have lost our ability to kick the ball in the endzone on kickoffs. It was mostly there at the beginning of the season but we are back to kicking it to the 1-2 yard line.
Anyone else have other areas of concern or have answers to my concerns above?

Our secondary always concerns me and if a QB that can throw the ball has time it's usually not good. JT can not throw the ball and the OSU WRs dropped a few that he did throw good . Our Dline will have to be in hurts face all game that's for sure.

#2 is a major concern, I still cringe every return despite the improvements.
Agreed we need to use short passes as "runs" and it all probably needs to be on the outside. MW may have to win a jump ball or 2, luckily he's phenomenal at it.
If the Tigers can get 2 early scores on that defense it could change the whole outlook of the game. Bama has no experience playing from behind

Also DW can not throw any INTs. Last year vs Bama his INT was big in the game. We were driving about to go up by 14 and after the pick Bama got going. I believe we score on that drive we win.

If Clemson doesn't get fooled on the onside, if Clemson isn't guilty of busted coverage about three times, if Clemson doesn't give up the kickoff return. There were about 1/2 dozen ifs. "If" the Tigers limit these to 2-3 this time around, they probably win.

I wonder if the kickoffs were on purpose...to practice

I bet they do not actively practice that real time, and the coaches will NOT let kickoffs beat us this year. I expect to see most go into the endzone, but you don't want your first live action on kickoff coverage in a month to be with the title game, with said game on the line. I am reaching here, but maybe...just maybe . The coverage, we have been called tight all year. A few teams have been working the refs all year after Alabama said we were grabbing them all game last year. I don't think Hurts beats up with his arm, pi or completions.

On their long kickoff return

We definitely were trying something as we were lined up all to one side. It didn't work, but it was an experiment of some sort.

There are only a few reasons why Clemson doesnt win big.
1.) Game is played outdoors is Tampa. What weather like? 2.) Cannot let special teams be a factor for Alabama. 3. ) Watson has to have time to throw ball down field.
I don't see Gallman having a big day although if he does Clemson wins big. I don't think Clemson has to play a perfect game to win. I think Jalen Hurts has a terrible day he will remember for a long time. The way I see it is Clemson and Alabama defense are equal. Clemson offense better. Alabama true freshman quarterback.
Who is hungrier? Clemson. I haven't seen them play so hungry in my lifetime. This year Alabama is the second best team in college football. Clemson wins by two scores.
All respect to Alabama. They are king until they are knocked off. But Clemson is coming and Jalen Hurts and Saban will feel the wrath of that defensive line come Monday night.

The deep throws are something of a concern, but the Tiger D always seems to rise to the occasion after one of the interference calls. The short kickoffs concern me a bit more, especially if the kicker on the other team consistently can drive it through the end zone. Puts Clemson at a disadvantage.

Most vital matchups for me are: Taylor Hearn vs Jonathan Allen and Sean Pollard vs Tim Williams. These are also my biggest concerns. Let's say clemson runs 70 plays if Hearn and Pollard can "win" at least 30-35 of those plays I believe we will win by 10. Bama has a good secondary but haven't faced WRs like we have. If given time DW will pick apart that secondary IMO. but with that being said blocking Allen and Williams will be extremely tough, I mean Tim Williams is so fast it's like he gets shot out of a gun ??????
