See this is the problem. He honestly seems to think we played well offensive at any point in that game.

"Seems" is the operative word in your statement. Don't get too caught up in the coachspeak. He knows he has challenges but his job is to present a public face and then get to work as a coach behind the scenes. You know when no one is watching, he is grinding to get this thing fixed and turned around.
This is kind of like when you tell the kids everything is fine while you try and figure out how to pay all the bills at night when everyone else is asleep. He doesn't have to worry about the bills but he is worried about letting people down.
I don't know how it all ends but I do know he will do everything he can to right the ship.

“I don't know how it all ends but I do know he will do everything he can to right the ship.“
If by “everything”, you mean not using the portal and hiring great coaches like Austin and Grisham?

Yep. Outside of a couple of good runs by Ship and Mafah, the offense looked trash. Cade is doing alright, but not great, recievers are pedestrian, and our Oline is just getting beat. I honestly think it's on our O-line coach and Wide Recievers coach. They are not fit for a coaching roll at an elite level. Outside of development on the line and at Wide Out, we just don't have the same level of recruits, then add on not using the portal to patch those holes and this is what you get. You can bring in the best offensive coordinator but scheme and play call only goes so far when the talent isn't being developed.

Got to disagree...we had a few drops...a few missed passes and pieces that seemed out of place...zone blocking by the O line still needs some tweeking but nothing horrible showed up...agree that the new offense is not hitting on all cylinders but it's not dysfunctional... Cade is still doing well and WF may have bn tough after all...our test will come with Miami and ND...think we can pressure Maye and that Capon in Columbia...Our D Can keep us in the game...and tell the Life of Riley we are all waiting on the Big O !

With all hands on deck and WR hands are so important it is hard to believe that Johnson or Hannafin could not be helping right now...we seem perfectly willing to play freshmen D linemen or O linemen but we might try some new hands... Brown and Briningstool are having some hands issues!
