Clowney watch..

Oct 3, 2013, 9:56 PM

Week 1 - Stomach bug
Week 2 - Coaches fault
Week 3 - Hurt in practice/bone spurs
Week 4 - Bye week
Week 5 - Offenses running away from his side of the ball
Week 6 - Bruised ribs

http://www.wltx.com/news/article/251610/2/Clowney-Held-Out-Of-Practice-With-Bruised-Ribs

What will the creative geniuses at USC come up with for week 7? The suspense is killing me!!!

update your watch: Week 5 - flu-like symptoms

Oct 3, 2013, 10:01 PM

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000251660/article/clowney-quiet-once-again-in-south-carolina-victory

Now four games and one-third of the way into the schedule, Clowney is on pace for just six sacks on the regular season. That would be less than half of his sack production from a year ago (13.5).

Gamecocks defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward said after the game that Clowney experienced flu-like symptoms late in the practice week, and even required IV fluids at one point. Clowney had made both his stops by halftime

I don't doubt he is an incredible football player...

but it really does appear he's mailed in this season, waiting on his signing paycheck. I also find it strange that he's supposedly had bone spurs since H.S. but never had them removed. Never seen it mentioned before. It doesn't take that long to recover....why not do it during the off season? Smells funny to me....

Yep, wants to do the bare minimum to get out uninjured

Oct 4, 2013, 9:35 AM [ in reply to bottom line is he is sick of playing for USuC*** ]

and get PAID in the NFL. Based on his first two seasons he will still be a mid to high level first rounder even with a lackluster final season. Why risk it all just to please the OBS?
