Clemson Women Golfers Week

As we close out this week, it's been a phenomenal week for our women's golf team. Recap of the busy week our Tiger golfers have had. Should I miss anyone, it's only because the lack of information.

Melena Barrientos in the Star packed Western Am field. 32 player cut occurs after 36 holes of stroke play. For the second tournament this summer, Melena played her way into a playoff for the final matchplay spots. As we know, Annabelle made it through. Melena battled in both tournaments and came up 1 shy of advancing in both. Melena was one of only 13 golfers that didn't card worse than a bogey, and birdied her last two holes to make the playoff. Battle tested and will be a star.

We had 3 Tiger golfers participate in the Sea Island Womens Am. It's a 54 hole strokeplay event with college golfers across the US. Wonderful learning opportunity to gain valuable experience and enjoy the summer fun too. Our Tiger finishes are listed below:

Isabella Rawl - t23
Katherine Schuster - t27
Gabriella Tomanka - t70
Great job ladies repping the Paw!!!

The 65th annual Carolinas-Virginias Women's Matches held at the Olde Mill Golf Resort.
Gracyn Burgess was the representative from Clemson University. It's a 3 day event consisting of partner matches and various format rounds. Gracyn Burgess won 2.5 points out of 3 to help lead the Carolinas to another Match victory. Way to represent Gracyn! Go Tigers!
