Clemson vs South Carolina Recruiting Battle

not much drama at all this year.

did we even go head to head on any of the guys.

maybe mike williams and bryce king (but he was 100% coot)

seems like we both felt the hit of the neighbors (Michael Hill to OSU and Tramel Terry to UGA)

Honestly the recruiting between the two has decreased in recent years. With the new SEC wave that has hit college football it has kind of split recruits. The instate guys usually grow up favoring one or the other so not many heated battles there. Out of state the two schools have very different recruiting strategies. Clemson is usually battling with the big boys of the SEC in the south east and selling something besides the SEC machine, such as the family atmosphere. SCar moves more north and sells the SEC to players that normally wouldn't get much SEC attention because they are not local players. It is hard for SCar to go into an SEC state and sell the SEC when their is already and SEC big boy instate.

^^^^^ Absolutely not true. Georgia is South Carolina's biggest recruiting state by a country mile. Huge state for you taters too. Florida is a gold mine for recruits for both schools. A few come from North Carolina, and a stray recruit from further north than that occasionally. Both these schools recruit mainly from the south.
