1983 Clemson/Carolilna Game

Hi Tiger fans,
I'm working on a short documentary about the Clemson/Carolina rivalry, and I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out. I'm looking for the full radio broadcast and/or the full game tape of the Clemson/Carolina Game in 1983. Is there an archive of this?

Clemson has pretty much owned the Tarholes since 1983....

compiling a win/loss record of 17 - 7 over that period.
In 1983, Clemson won the game played in Chapel Hill 16 - 3.

a member of this forum maintains an extensive video library old Clemson football games. It would surprise me if he didn't have the 83 game. I will T-Mail you his contact information later this evening.

I was there and South Carolina wore all black. THe game program was even solid black. Even though it was late November, it was a very warm afternoon. When a reporter asked Ray Brown if he was intimidated by the all black, he said, "No, they looked like they were hot to me."
Also, earlier that year South Carolina blew out Southern Cal 38-14. A newspaper told the story of Clemson's James Robinson in a phone conversation with his "little" brother who played for South Carolina. Anyway, the two were talking after the big mid-season victory over Southern Cal. James had called to congratulate Kenneth. During the conversation, Kenneth told James that the South Carolina team was so full of confidence that he felt they might win out. Clemson's James Robinson responded very matter-of-factly, "Nah, that would mean ya'll would have to beat us when we come down there."
Also, a little mini-brawl broke out after the game. Nothing that ruined the day, but it dealt with the cheerleaders running around with the big flag. I think they trapped the bad sports under the flag.

At the end of the game, we brought the big orange flag out..

Some coot came out of the stands and dove into it. The cheerleaders just rolled him up in the flag and carried him over to the cops and they cuffed him. I have always wondered how many games he missed before he served his prison sentence.

was among the students in the endzone seats. Our players were in the endzone celebrating facing us. The Cheerleader deal got the attention of all of us and we were laughing at the guy that they rolled with the flag.
