That’s our historical place in ACC basketball.

We are way better than that this year, and for Brad’s tenure as a whole.

But don’t let facts get in the way of your post.

This is perhaps the most pathetic rationale ever put forward.

"Why do you expect CBB to do any better than Clemson has ever done before? We've always sucked at basketball so it's OK if we pay him millions for his teams to be mediocre?"

Look, if you're admitting that CBB is not going to make Clemson basketball better, then it's time to support moving him along and seeing if the next guy might be able to do something better.

It’s also a lie predicated on our place in a 8/9 team conference that played 14-16 games against everyone twice. The ACC is a 15 team basketball conference now and historical comparison is meaningless without adjusting for SOS.

IMO,teams have figured out how to defense Clemson since the beginning of the season. In the last several games they put someone right in Girard's grill. He isn't fast enough to dribble drive around them and doesn't shoot as well with someone in his face. They also are doubling Hall down low. That defense seems to be working.
