Best time you've ever had at a bowl game?

Dec 2, 2013, 9:26 AM

Of course, many folks will name the 1982 Orange Bowl for the obvious reasons. Understandable. Some folks may even say they had a great time at a bowl game the Tigers lost. A carload of us went to the Keys after the WVU bowl game a few years ago and, despite the horrible effort in that game, we had a wonderful time driving South of Miami.

Honestly, through all the bowl games I've attended, I think the Boss and I had the most fun in Boise at the Humanitarian Bowl. We were there with some good friends and fellow Tnet regulars and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves---we even stayed several days after the game and toured the area.

Which bowl game trip was your favorite??

We did lose that game. Hollywood is never wrong.***

That was one heck of an awesome day. It was awesome to watch them beat the crap out of arrogant Tenneseee that day.

2005 Champs Sports Bowl was pretty fun too. Awesome to go to Orlando.

1989 Clemson vs. WV.

Dec 2, 2013, 9:33 AM

We camped at the GA/FL line and drove down to Jacksonville the morning of the game. Great tailgating, good friends, Major Harris' mom on TV yelling "Dey Killin' Him, Clemson is Killin' Him!" Ah, good memories, all that matters.

The Boise trip in 2001 was awesome....

Dec 2, 2013, 9:40 AM

and one of the best bowl trips my friends and I have ever taken and I have not missed a Clemson Bowl game since attending my first one in 1977.

The 82 Orange Bowl notwithstanding, the Citrus Bowl in January of 89, the Gator Bowl in December of 89, the 04 Peach Bowl, and 2012 Peach Bowl were some other really good Bowl trips.

Great game. bought 4 tickets for $20.00 - Sold one for $10.00 - took both my sons (young at the time) - great seats - Miss SC sat behind us - she really liked the kids - demolished Joe Pa's Nittany Lions

That 82 OB was not bad either - but was living in South
Florida at the time
