returning? It's likely a favor by Dabo to enhance The Chad's resume'.
Who knows? CM may bring us another great quarterback.

He always was a positive presence in our program. I think we probably will benefit from his presence, but I don't think it will hart in any way. Hopefully he and Garrett get along very well, and I would bet they do.

are the NEXUS of Clemson Offense
Don't see how people keep leaving Tony Elliott out when they talk the Championship years! Perception is one thing; but Dabo and Jeff Scott both saying something to the effect: "Tony did 90% of the playcalling during those years"! Meaning the championship years! For whatever reason people have to not give the man credit, it doesn't matter! These gentlemen do and I for one am thankful! No way to say Clemson offense nexus w/o including him, "per two of the 3 you gave"! I will take their word for it and I saw it with my own eyes!

I thought I had heard that Morris burned some bridges when he left Clemson. Doesn't seem to have been the case, or else time has mended that. Always happy to see a redemption story and to see people have another chance.

The medical principle of "First, do no harm" applies here

in a way, I believe. I think Morris knows that he's here as a contributor and his main goal is ONLY to add to the brains and planning we already have on staff. He'll do no harm.
Consider what harm bringing in Morris might bring. I mean, really wrack your brains.
Divided loyalty between Morris & Riley? Nah. Nobody with any eligibility left was here when Morris was here. Current players aren't going to gravitate toward him over Riley, because they know who holds what title.
Second guessing play calling? He's not even around on game day. Anything that he thinks could be improved after a Saturday might be shared one-on-one with Riley or one-on-two with Riley & Dabo.
This analyst role does not take away any kind of assistant coach position from an up-and-comer. We can have as many as we want. If we rewind a few months and the question was "do we hire Morris or Riley?" and hiring one meant not hiring the other, then there would be some harm. But having both in the structure in which we have them could only help.
And money to pay Morris? We don't have Big Ten money but we've got the most ACC money of anybody. We can afford him. I would not expect this to be a multi-year deal where we're on the hook for a lot of money. Morris just wants to see something other than Tampa Bay.
The worst that could happen? He doesn't click with the current staff and we say bye-bye.

One only has to look at the other analysts that we've had on staff recently to know that unless they occasionally show up in a photo, you really don't even know they are there.
