Catalyst for Auburn's Turnaround?

Oct 23, 2016, 8:18 PM

They have a good Defense and great special teams but that offense didn't have a clue against us. Anyone watched any recent games?

Had a bye to prep for Arky,

Settled on a QB,

They ran all over Arkansas. They could win out, will be underdogs at Bama though but if they can complete some forward passes to open running lanes could win 24-17 or so.

Arkansas does not have a good defense. Plus, the

Auburn head coach stopped calling the offensive plays two games ago, and the offense has improved. They still have trouble throwing thr ball, and will likely struggle against Alabama. They can beat Ole Miss, as the Rebels defense is just plain awful.

They're playing SEC Ds now so that's why it's easier***

They lost to the two very good teams they've played. The beat the "tomato cans" and caught Arkansas after their big rivalry game in the SEC. The LSU game was just a typical strange game at Auburn.

How about the coach quit switching QBs every 2 to 3 plays . I don't know anything about football but even I could tell that was ridiculous. As soon as the QB would have a dab of success he'd be pulled out and another sent in.

Playing one QB in a series vs three helped a lot I'm sure.

Like everyone else said:

1. Malzahn no longer calling plays
2. Committed to a qb
3. Changed to a much bigger rb who appears to be a beast

They started playing SEC teams
