But would you be disappointed if he started the first game of 2023? Meaning, DJ does what the coaches (and many of us) know what he can do and that is, lead us to greatness.

the Tigers are playing well and winning games. Cade is willing to bide his time for the team. He is not wishing or expecting DJ to fail.
Maybe some of our grown fans could follow the example of the 18 year old?

not that great.....
He almost lost to BC at HOME as a starter.....then Threw for alot of yards (with a few good WR) at ND but we LOST......TLaw comes back and we DESTROY ND........so, IMO ND was Not that good, and it showed when TLAW came back and we torched them......
Watching DJ last year, it wasn't just mistakes, it was lack of ability that concerns me.

It is almost like ND had slightly over 200 yards and 3 TDs on the ground when DJ played ND and less than 50 rushing yards in the following game.....
Can't remember DJ giving up long run play after another on defense.

no one knows what he can do. His problems went far beyond injury - it was in his head. That was abundantly clear. I hope the guy can recover and play at the level of a Tajh Boyd. I don’t see him ever playing at the level of a DW4 or TL16. I just don’t think he’s got the instinctive football smarts to get there.

Even with splinter on throwing finger, and showed good running AND ESCAPING ability even with knee brace and spint on throwing hand finger.

The guy was a deer-in-the-headlights statue much of the time. Our hopes on third down and more than 2 yards were virtually NIL because he was utterly immobile!!!
We must have top-notch QB play in this offense. So far he ain’t it. I surely hope he has gained confidence and Streeter has coached him up BIG TIME… or his time with the 1s will be short lived.

This was not intended to be a "bash DJ" post. More to celebrate Cade's accomplishments. It's not crazy to think they will both tear it up and the Tigers will have the best QB room in the country. Spot the ball and may the best player win out!

of those who post DJ will go from 95th-rated 2021 QB to a Top 15 QB. Also that, Cade will accept a year or even two on the bench just watching DJ play. Cade was the #1 ranked offensive player in the country his junior and senior year of high school. If he does not start at Clemson sometime this year, with DJ coming back, Cade will be starting for LSU, Ole Miss, Miami or elsewhere in 2023.
