Deon Cain is going

Jul 12, 2014, 3:31 AM

to be a 5 star before this is over. Great job to our staff and coach. Let's just hope we can roll into Sanford and somehow play insane on defense, crush the puppies, and watch Trenton Thompsons jaw (#1 recruit in country) hit the floor. No doubt, it would make him think. We need this Georgia win as bad as last year. NO COMPLACENCY

I would love to have Trenton but I don't

Think he will change his mind just because we beat them, even if we blow them out which is highly unlikely. Didn't Watson commit to us a couple of Weeks after the orange bowl blow out against WV? Now if Georgia has a horrible season and we have another 11 win season that could sway his decision a little bit. Honestly though, I hate to sound like a negative nancy but I just don't see us getting him. Crazier things have happened though

yes he is a UGA lean big time. Prob similar to David Pollack a few years back. Clemson was all over him UGA Fired the coach The new Coach came in and all it took was one visit and he was a UGA commit. Sometimes you are just fighting a losing battle.

I read an opinion that Thompson

could still be swayed to Clemson but no other SEC school that is pressing him hard like Auburn. I guess the point is that he would not consider another SEC instead of UGA but is still thinking about Clemson because of the ACC.

And if I remember correctly he isn't keen on the whole recruiting process - all of the attention and thousands of letters from a gazillion teams. So I'm surprised he hasn't just made a decision to make it all stop.

But whoever wrote that opinion which I can't find right now, thought the choices would hinge on Richt and Swinney and how comfortable he feels with them regarding integrity. The writer made a big deal out of his family being solid in their Christianity.

Trent Thompson is nice and all but our realistic target is Settle and DJ Jones whom would be a handful to deal with.

Can we get over the Juco hurdle for Jones?

Jul 12, 2014, 10:06 AM

So many think not. And beyond all of the words it doesn't look like Radakovich and Swinney are in any kind of hurry.

I'd rather have Settle and Huggins than Jones. I just hope that the coots don't get him.

Thomspon is so far ahead of Settle it is scary.
