Cade Klubnik vs Duke Analysis

Really good video showing our entire offense on key plays from the skybox. Really easy to tell Klubnik has no help at all in this offense. A lot of blocking whiffs by RBs and Bringingstool. WRs don't understand some key fundamentals in running routes or settling in a cushion when their route is taken away. Beaux Collins even runs the wrong play once. Klubnik has the talent, but as we all know this isn't a one person game, the entire offense is so out of sync. Hope these things get corrected over the next 2 weeks.

DJU had the same problems

Riley was hired to try to fix it - perceived issue was senior management. UGA knew that wasn't the case and cherry picked Streeter.
Middle management is the actual issue - Duke showed it and they are now on the hot seat.

Those speed outs and crossers, DJ would never have thrown those until the wr was finished running his route, saw him do it this past weekend. Luckily for Oregon St they play even softer defenses than Clemson.

Some things I see:
WR is a glaring issue HOWEVER a couple times CK just does not either see the play or make the play. There are a few times in here the WRs actually get (buzzword) separation, but CK doesn’t make the play.
I chalk that up to inexperience on CK and that will get better. Still, issues exist at WR and it’s evident a few times in this video.

Correct! I watched CK2 play 5 games in HS in Austin, TX and he is a tremendous talent. No question. He is getting little help here at Clemson and probably wishes he had gone to one of the other 100 offers he received. He has all the ability needed to bring a Naty to Clemson. He cannot do it alone, nor should he be expected to. Give him time. Give him receivers who can get open and/or fight for balls. He is a super talent and just needs to settle in. Hopefully he gets the same support for 2 years from the head coach that his predecessor received.

Love these videos. A few interesting mentions of play calling and route running where the players are not being set up for success. The one JTOS does on Leonard is also good for seeing some issues and good things in our defense.

They wanted to run the offense fast

but it ended up as fast and sloppy. The tape doesn't lie.
We suck now because the players clearly haven't adapted to Riley's offense, which means the learning curve is steeper than previously imagined. He observed a team that looked out of sync because they were likely more concerned about getting the play off fast than actually running it correctly.
They just need time to adjust, and hopefully by the end of the season they will look 100x better.

And is that even possible that we were not prepared when we had 289 days after the Tenn. game to get ready for Duke?
Crazy...

You mean we have WR's? I didn't see any on Monday night.

Some of those issues are clear in the video. Williams, Collins, heck even Turner had some separation on some plays and CK just didn’t see them. Again, there is definitely an issue with WRs developing, but just like you can’t blame a QB for dropped passes, you can’t blame the WRs when the QB doesn’t give them the ball when they’re open.
