Has a better pocket presence than Cade and appears to make better adjustments at the line. Also is more composed.
Am I crazy to think he needs to get 1st team snaps? Cade is the better runner but we don't appear to game plan for designed QB runs...

This is the take despite folks not liking Judge's opinion.
That poise is linked to being in the program for a while and personality.
CK2 will get there with time and more reps. This game was the most comfortable I've seen him this year.

But CK2 gives you the full duel QB aspect.
I think they are closer than coaches let on but definitely think CK2 has the higher ceiling.
That said, he's a great change up if CK2 is having a bad night.

This is the big thing I’ve noticed. Cade seems slower to release and doesn’t throw as tight of a ball.

More than anything no matter who you are playing against; there are still some things that are true "no matter what"!
What some of the most recent National Championship-winning QBs had that you can't teach is "Poise In The Moment"!
If not for the fact Cade is a highly decorated QB from a fertile recruiting state like Texas - "I think you might actually see Hunter Helms" take 1st team reps.
The quicker more decisive decision-making is clear and evident. P.S. I think Helms is good enough to move the chains. We don't need him to take it to the house; that's what we have Ship and Mafah and the WR and TE's for.
I am fully confident with Hunter Helms as our QB2. I think he could be QB1 honestly; if needed.

You are grasping at straws. It's the classic "back up quarterback is better" deal. Helms has not played any meaningful snaps at all. Somehow now Helms is the better quarterback because looked better in the spring game. This is just like last year when everybody said Klubnik was better than Uiagalelei. Now Helms is better than Klubnik.

It's easy when the game is out of hand. I like Helms but we will probably never know how good he is when it matters.
