However he made it clear that he and his brother were a package deal....and they both were expected to get top NIL money.
We passed. USuC did not

Nah, if what OP said is true, then I agree with Clemson's decision. "Family culture" is one thing, but a player using his recruitment to leverage a roster spot for his brother (who otherwise wouldn't get it on his own) is not something that should be entertained. Plus they're clearly chasing the bag as well. Clemson has traditionally avoided players who have made their recruitment all about who will meet the most of their personal demands, and I think that strategy has served them well. There's nothing wrong with a prospect wanting to be on a team that he thinks will provide him with the best environment and resources to develop as a player and as a person, but the ones who just auction themselves off to the highest bidder, make it all about money, want unearned favors done for family and friends, and generally try to see who will be the most desperate to do whatever they want are not the type of people you want to go after. They often have character issues, selfishness, and lack of work ethic. And there's absolutely no loyalty either. If that player gets unhappy or there's more money someplace else, he'll be gone without a second thought. If that's what these guys are doing, then let them be someone else's problem. Clemson doesn't sell out to guys like this, and they should continue that because it's not a good strategy long-term.

Why are you guys worried about this dude going to visit South Carolina ? First of all, the chances of him landing there are slim to none. Second, even if he does decide to play for them, this is the same team that took probably the best player that's ever been through the portal in Spencer Rattler and did NOTHING with him except almost get him killed
They have lost their best receivers , they have lost a good QB that they won't be able to replace and lost the only serviceable RB on the roster, they have lost their good kicker . So again I ask? Who cares if they get a 5 star portal player to plug 1 of the 50 holes in their roster, they will still suck and he will be back in the portal at the end of 2024

Naaa I'm not stressed little buddy . I'm not the one crying about Dabo not using the portal the way you want him to or telling you guys every little detail about offers made. Don't worry about the coots recruitment , the 2x champ is at the helm making the decisions for the Tigers
