Brad Brownell is the definition of insanity.

There are no different results after 14 years. It’s like Charlie Brown expecting to kick the ball.

It’s frustrating. But to be fair, this season we only had one 3 game losing streak. I m use to it being worse. Also, I don’t think Notre Dame is a quad 4 loss. We are getting better. It’s just frustrating losing this game. That said, Unless we just have a complete collapse we are going to make the NCAA tourney. That was the bar.
My fear though is that this team is going to loose the opening round game because we just can’t help ourselves with undisciplined turnover's and over reliance on the 3. We are 5-4 against tournament level teams so to me that’s a coin flip.
Moving forward without Hall Girard and Clark will be tough. But I think the expectation is 19 wins, minimum. But really we need to be getting 21 wins with a 85% win rate against Q3&4 teams And a 60% rate against Q1&2 teams. This is what we need to keep doing to keep building consistency.
I think if we do this, expectations between our players will naturally increase. We will forge a team attitude that we are not going to loose to teams we should beat. And I think in time the final barriers will fall, winning the ACC tournament. Getting a final 4 banner may eventually come. But I want a conference tournament championship. Clemson helped form this conference, lord knows we should have won at least one by just luck by now.
I have never been a Brad fan. Far from it. But If we make the tournament that is progress. Next step, Do it again. 14 years we should have a program in place where that starts becoming the expectation, not a hope.
Go Tigers!

We are not getting better. This teams performance is like a Yo-yo. Inconsistency is not improvement. If we have these NC State, ND games in the first round were 1 and done.

We only have one player who can consistently hit 3's, but he has troubles getting his shot off. That seems like recipe for not going very far in the tournament.

Since Brownell took over at Clemson, the following teams have won the ACCT:
Duke (more than once) Florida State Miami Virginia (more than once) Notre Dame North Carolina Georgia Tech Virginia Tech
Clemson has never played for ACCT title under Brownell (did once under Purnell).
Georgia Tech won it in Josh Pastner's 5th year, and he has since been fired. Virginia Tech won it under Mike Young's third year as HC. Duke most recently won it under first-year HC Jon Scheyer. Notre Dame won the ACCT in their second year in the ACC.
