Question for those who understand the bowl process better

than I: if the SEC really is sending Vandy to the Chick-fil-a bowl, is there any way we could look over our options in terms of "dropping down" to possibly go somewhere else? I know the ACC bowl tie-ins are crap, but maybe there is a better matchup, location,etc., somewhere else?

I would be shocked if Vandy played in the Peach Bowl, that would darn near bankrupt it.

Yeah the Peach would defiantly take Miss State over Vandy. The Peach basically gets the SEC #6 since they got 2 in the BCS. This slot should go to SC but the bowl and the schools do not want a rematch.

South Carolina is also going to have a shot at the Outback Bowl which is selected before Peach. Since they almost always take an East team. They had UGA last year after an SEC Title loss and we jumped them for the Cap1. Only way we get bumped down from there is if Cap1 takes North Western which would bump Nebraska down to Outback and Michigan to Gator. In which case we would go to Gator to play Mich and UGA to Tampa.

The Chickfila is up for grabs still going to be interesting which team from the SEC plays there.
