BC's been in the ACC 9 years

Oct 14, 2013, 12:16 PM

It took that long to finally get a winning record against them in conference play. It's about time, but shows how tough they really have been.

or how inconsistent we've been.***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

year in and year out they play hard, never quit

are well coached, especially on defense, and they will hit you all day. I have tons of respect for that program.....they will scare you every year because they always have a couple of guys who'll play in the NFL on the defensive side of the ball and they'll rarely make mistakes. I'll take our grind it out win over them any day of the week. If you put their discipline and effort into a team like TAMU's defense, for instance, you'd have a scary situation. Raji, Herzlich, and Kuechly came from that school's defense....case closed.

I think BC will be a serious contender with Addazio

at the helm. If they can pick up recruiting more now, they can be competing for the division more. After all, they gave BOTH the powerhouses of our division a serious fight this year.

BC is no Duke or WF. Cuse is the other one to watch. Not sure about Pitt yet, though.

And then there's Louisville....

completely agree with you

and they'll play anyone, anywhere, as witnessed by their trip out here to play SC this year. Every year that team scares the hell out of me because you know what they'll bring to the table: effort.

recruits and in some areas - like PA and upstate NY and most of NJ, etc., there are a number of good high school football programs. So with a solid coach (for now) and some improved playing I don't see why BC can't pull in more/better recruits. Same for Cuse. Just not so sure about Pitt, yet. In PA, for example, many may see Penn St. as the target. Cuse or BC could be on that map, too, before they consider Pitt. Not a hard fast rule, though.

You have to give them credit. They came in with a sold game plan, and they stuck to it. They stayed patient, controlled the clock, and never played outside of themselves. Consequently, they were in the game until the end. I was very impressed with their poise.

You can thank Bowden's inconsistent teams for that. We have taken 5 of the last 6 now. They did have a couple of good teams when they first came into the conference with Matt Ryan and all, I will give them that, but we should be at least 7-2 or 8-1 against them.

In those 9 years, BC won as many OR more games than FSU, Miami, TAMU, UCLA, Tenn, Ole Miss, ND and a host of other lesser programs. They have changed coaches 3 times and are are suffering, but their program has been solid. I loved my trip up to see us play in Boston and look forward to more games with our long time, traditional rival from way up north. Love'em.

Love to beat'em too.

Matt Ryan was a serious pain in our #### while he was at BC.
