I'm not totally asleep at the wheel here, I do follow recruiting, but aren't we putting a little too much stock in Vizzina working out?

Ty Simpson at Bama was our #1 choice. When he picked Bama, we fell back and took Klubnik. IMO it’s a mistake promising Hebert when he hasn’t taken a snap in college.

But are you making a sincere inquiry? Cade could still be starting in 2025. Vizzina would have 3 years of eligibility remaining and we’d have a freshman 4 star. All the 4 and 5 star recruits for 2024 are already committed somewhere and how would any of them really help if we have immediate need at the position next year? If we truly need someone not currently on the roster to take over the qb1 position we’d have to look at a transfer. So I guess folks that really, really want Dabo to use the portal should hope for Klubnik and Vizzina to be total busts this year.

If Cade is still our QB in 2025 we're in big trouble

Not that it wouldn't be great to have an experienced Senior QB leading the team in 2025, but if this all goes according to plan, Cade is going to develop throughout this year and be on point by the end of the year and a top-5 QB in the country next year - that translates into a 1st round draft pick.
Vizzina and 2025 Hebert seems a bit light for the depth chart. Would be great if Hebert lights it up this year and turns into a top recruit.

and besides, it's hard to get more really great QBs because they don't want to ride the bench. Evidently they are all scared to compete.
