if they would have gotten Dabo, I feel that Dabo is respected enough around the country that Bama probably wouldn't have lost more than half of their top recruits bc Dabo recruited most of them, and the biggest reason they chose Saban and Bama over Dabo and Clemson was bc Clemson wasn't an SEC school, and they had been brain washed all of their FB career from midget and HS football level, that if they were good enough they should play in the SEC. Hey, but I'm more than happy those dumb A$ES got their wish and Dabo stayed where he belongs, and that is at Clemson, a non SEC school that plays as well as any of the SEC schools, and 44-16 should prove that....

I personally think they could have lost more, since dabo is not a fan of nil and these kids want to get paid,, i have to disagree that they wouldn't have lost as many.....

Dabo is not against players making NIL money
He just doesn’t believe it should be used as a
Recruiting inducement.

Why does this dumb narrative of "Dabo hates NIL" or "Dabo won't use NIL" keep getting parroted? Do people really not care to research it for themselves, and it's just easier to believe whatever has been said? No wonder the 110Society is having all the players tweet out about signing deals with them. If our own fan base believes the outside narrative, people not around the program #### sure will.

We don't have to take a backseat to any program. The fact that we could win big without all the pay for play like ugay, etc, should have been eye opening, but it wasn't to many. I'll never forget a very wealthy uga donor friend of mine who broke all sorts of NCAA rules, ultimately getting nailed for them, said about recruiting ####### players. "I don't care if they can pass classes, or read or write, even. I just want them to be able to play football and win games." That, my friend is a direct quote. It still is true to this day.

I'm thankful that Dabo is still about Clemson providing an education and pushing for players to graduate. Something has to be done to bring education back to the forefront of COLLEGE football.

How much do you think head coaches get involved in NIL contracts? Collectives and businesses wanting to sign players work with whoever is representing the athlete. Do coaches tell them “you have to pay this kid X dollars or he’s going somewhere else”?

I feel that when a kid mentions the cash that Clemson will pay him, Dabo cuts that conversation off instantly. He probably tells that they will have to speak with the people that handles the NIL thing, and that his job only works with making them better players and decent men, and that has nothing to do with money or the NIL. Their name and likeness is for someone else to talk about bc it isn't him!!!

Whenever Dabo holds up that National Championship Trophy at the end of this season. Then we can say, "anyone but Dabo". I can almost hear it now, the excuses they will use and the groans of agony.
"But we used the portal." "We had NIL." "Paul Bear Bryant" "We are Bama Daggumit."
