I have always been a fan of yours and wish you well in the future.
Georgia wants you because you know both Brent Venables’ defense and Tony Elliot’s offense. I feel they are using you to beat Clemson week 1 and there’s no other reason. I am afraid you will not be starting by the end of the season.

He's a kid needing some discipline and he's learning the hard way. I wish him the best and am sorry that it seems he's going to uga. That won't be good for him.

Either way, they promised him a lot and he took the bait.
“You’re a guaranteed starter on our SEC defense SEC defenses, especially Georgia have had (x) number of players drafted in the last ten years compared to (x) from Clemson and the ACC.” “We understand what happened at Clemson. We’re different here.” “We’ll get you drafted in the first round come April.” “We’ll get you one last championship before you make millions.”
He’ll see plenty of reps at first. As he starts answering questions about play calls, signals, tendencies, he will find the other corners are getting more reps.
Might start week 1. Will not start week 10.

DK is not an idiot. He didn’t buy the snake oil from UGaY. He messed up and UGaY is his best path to NFL life changing, generational financial security for his kids and family. I wish him all the beat and hope he keeps it together and has a prosperous career.

Kendrick has all the athletic talent in the world and has decided weed & guns play a role in his future. I hope he can turn it around, but not until he gets roasted vs. Tigers. Clemson coaching staff will have twice the work to get ready for the UGA game now.

Yep given his situation it is a good option for him. Time will tell how it works out. I wonder if he will be a kick return guy also. He sometimes was at Clemson

I dunno. To DK probably seemed like his best move.
You go where the need and opportunity is, and UGA, like it or not, had the need and the opportunity. It's probably what I would have encouraged my own son to do in his boots.
Don't like it as a Clemson fan, mind, but again, in DK's boots I'd have likely done the same. The rules are what the rules are, you know?
Hate the rules, not the player.
Still is probably a reach for him. He's gotta learn a new defense, acclimate to it by Week 1, and he's going to be completely on the spot. He's going to think he knows Venables signals and system...which will of course, be changed up by then, so everything he thinks he knows is probably going to be backwards, and he's likely going to be zigging when he should be zagging, biting when he should be backing off...which, honestly, he tended to have a problem with anyhow. I mean, maybe the stars align and he has the game of his life, but it seems more likely he gets turned and burned and catches fire and explodes, too. He rarely seemed clutch at key moments at Clemson - actually he seemed kind of the opposite of that - and my suspicion is that isn't going to magically get better just because he moved along to UGA.

People keep throwing out former players being able to help out their new teams by knowing so much about our offense/defense.
It sounds good to say that, but what exactly could he tell Georgia about our defense or offense that Georgia wouldn’t already know?
We’ve had the same defense and offense for several years now. Sure, we may throw out a play or two we’ve seldom used before, but for the most part we aren’t going to run any plays on either side of the ball that will shock Georgia to see. And for any plays we haven’t run before, wouldn’t those be new to DK as well?
Being familiar with the plays we run, formations we use, and plays we use in certain situations is exactly why they’ll review film.
If we’re still using the same signals as last year then we have much deeper issues to worry about than DK sharing those with anyone.

Ok, I must be the only clueless guy in the world.
Why is DK eligible to play immediately? By his own interview, he hasn’t graduated yet.
His side of the story as told to 24/7 Sports that Dabo dismissed him from the team because he wasn’t putting in the work he needed to, because he was spending so much time at the hospital with his son (he has two kids already).
I haven’t seen this addressed. I’m not certain he will be on the field against us.
