projections. I expect us to be seeded 3-5 if we win today not 6 but the biggest thing I notice is they have the Coots at 14 and one of 8 SEC hosts. The SEC has never had more than 7 and I imagine those few times have been with TAM hosting which is important to NCAA to have a Texas team hosting. They are projecting only 2 teams west of the Miss. River hosting and one of those being Arkansas which is an SEC team not far west of the Miss River. Stanford is the only true Western team. I can tell you right now, that is not happening. DBU, Oklahoma St possible others to the west will get opportunities to host. And there are other teams in the East that will be ahead of the Coots - that team is playing like a Regional 3 seed. Someone will get lucky to have them as a 2 in their regional.

The latest D1Baseball projections have a slight seed change in the top eight, no new teams in the field, but two new Top 16 hosts.


Far more realistic if you ask me.
