Article from Alabama about Nkemdiche's commit (link)

Sounds like they are wishing and hoping. Or maybe just sour grapes.

" Nkemdiche's recruitment isn't over -- not by a long shot "

May be wishful thinking on Bama's part, but I agree with the above quote. It's only June and the kid's only 17. The pressure, and finances, these programs will bring to bear on this young man will be intense. Not sure he will ever sign with CU. Be great to see him play, but it doesn't count til February.

Nkemdiche strikes me as the kind of young man who

doesn't play games like many of the top recruits seem to do these days. Seems to me that a lot of sports writers covering the SEC and other big time college programs simply continue to feed that mentality as well. My gut feeling tells me he's a keeper.

He comes from an educated , values-based family as his mother is in Africa running for office and his dad is a doctor in Atlanta . The money thing shouldnt be a problem , as he obviously is at least upper-middle class . I bet he was raised to honor his word , to believe in yourself and trust the path you choose . Poor Bammers.... so disappointed .

quoted on Twitter after committing that he thanks GOD for showing him the right college to attend. He also mentioned he was is so blessed to be a Clemson Tiger.

He's a SOLID commit to Clemson and he wont back off it.

I wouldn't be shocked if he changed his mind. He's young,

there is a long way to go, and the pressure will be tremendous. Plus, I don't trust any of our competitors to play fair or within the rules. On the other hand, Clemson is a special place, and the fact that he has good friends there means a lot.

To keeps these commitments we have to do 1 thing

WIN. Either Auburn or FSU drop close to 70 on our a$$ and the bard door will open. Hate it but to maintain we have to win win win.

Yep, it's hard to close those bard doors once they get open.

Man, Bama fans have been acting like a bunch jilted women

Jun 17, 2012, 10:43 PM

over this. I used to have a lot of respect for Alabama, especially considering some of our old ties with them. But some of their fans unfortunately are acting like whining babies: they have 9 national championships, 4 or 5 extra that their 80's AD crowned them with they didn't actually win, have had every recruiting advantage through half of the 20th Century with little to no academic restrictions, escaped extra probation multiple times because Bear Bryant's shadow, and have a Top 5 class of recruits almost every year.

Give me an f-ing break. *L*

Bama fans think they're God's gift to college football, and can't understand why any kid would choose another school over them. I respect their accomplishments but they are some of the most obnoxious, arrogant fans on the planet

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What do you expect them to say??

Jun 17, 2012, 10:52 PM

Of course they say his recruitment isnt over. In all honesty, as a Bama fan, Im not gonna lose sleep with whatever he decides to do. Come on though, it is over 7 months till NSD and he is the #1 recruit in the nation who loved the attention. Out of no where he committs to Clemson on a visit when most everyone thought he would wait till later on. Unless he changes his number or moves, every school that was in contention will be going at him hard. I really think most of these articles are not insinuating he will decommit, they are just saying that he will be getting hammered for the next 7 months from Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Auburn, and whoever else wants in on the action, so really, his recruiting is just now getting started. I hope he sticks with it because I like someone who commits and stays. Says a lot about their character.
