There once was a BCS team who lost six straight games . . .

. . . to their in-state archrival, in this century!
That team also lost this year's game with this archrival on the very last play of the rivalry game! So, they very much displeased their fans, because in losing that one game . . .
. . .they lost the ever-so-important rivalry game . . .
. . .they lost the division title (as both teams are in the same division of the same conference);
. . .they lost a chance to represent their division and play for the conference title;
. . .and they lost a chance to play for the national title (as they were ranked number one in the polls at the time of their defeat).
So, on the very last play of the very last regular season game, this team lost it all! With one second on the clock! And why? Arguably because of their coach!!!
Got to be tough to support that coach. Mismanaged the clock and made them put that one second back on . . . what was he thinking?
Goodnight, Tiger fans! And sleep well!

When Dabo wins three national championships in four years, then maybe we'll give him a pass when he screws up on ONE playcall.
But who are we kidding? We're never getting to an NC with him because he can't beat the Coots (or any other decent team when it really matters).

Pumpers don't like facts and true perspective. They only spout athletic department talking points.

Saban's corresponding resume for his first six years of head coaching:
Toledo Rockets (Mid-American Conference) (1990) 1990 Toledo 9–2 7–1 T–1st Michigan State Spartans (Big Ten Conference) (1995–1999) 1995 Michigan State 6–5–1, 4–3–1 5th L Independence 1996 Michigan State 6–6, 5–3 5th L Sun 1997 Michigan State 7–5, 4–4 6th L Aloha 1998 Michigan State 6–6, 4–4 6th 1999 Michigan State 9–2*, 6–2 2nd Invited to Citrus (resigned before bowl)
Pretty stellar, right?
(Oops . . . my apologies . . . using facts again. Shoot!)

Mike 'Shula' was not retained . . .

as he had one winning season in four as head coach (2005), and was let go for that reason. (Dennis Franchione was head coach in 2002, and Saban was head coach in 2007, which were the other two losses in the string of six.)

Not happy AT ALL with losing to SCU..but in general, I like the direction Coach Swinney is taking our program, guidance given to the players.
Just fyi below is a snapshot of Nick Saban's coaching record - success/"elite" status didn't happen overnight, peaks and valleys...
*Saban hasn't had success against Auburn's better teams while at both LSU and Alabama.
SIX times, he has coached against Auburn teams that would finish the season with NINE OR MORE WINS.
He's LOST ALL SIX of those games.
Year Team Win Loss Tie Bowl Games 1990 Toledo (OH) 9 2 0 NO BOWL GAME 1995 Michigan St 6 5 1 LOSS @ Independence 1996 Michigan St 6 6 0 LOSS @ Sun 1997 Michigan St 7 5 0 LOSS @ Aloha 1998 Michigan St 6 6 0 NO BOWL GAME 1999 Michigan St 9 2 0 NO BOWL GAME 2000 Louisiana St 8 4 0 WON Peach 2001 Louisiana St 10 3 0 WON Sugar 2002 Louisiana St 8 5 0 LOSS @ Cotton Bowl 2003 Louisiana St 13 1 0 NATIONAL CHAMPS 2004 Louisiana St 9 3 0 LOSS @ Capital One 2007 Alabama 2 6 0 WON Independence (NCAA changed record to 2-6) 2008 Alabama 12 2 0 LOSS @ Sugar 2009 Alabama 14 0 0 NATIONAL CHAMPS 2010 Alabama 10 3 0 WON Capital One 2011 Alabama 12 1 0 NATIONAL CHAMPS 2012 Alabama 13 1 0 NATIONAL CHAMPS
TOTALS: 154 wins 55 losses 1 tie

Well there you go. You guys are Alabama . . . w/o the players...or the coaches...or the facilities...or the money...or the titles...or the trophies...or the recruiting. Did I miss anything?
