Anyone Use VPN
Aug 11, 2022, 4:58 PM
|

to stream out of market NFL or CFB games? While I’ve used VPN for years on a corporate laptop for email security, I’ve never tried to use on an IPad to hide my local IP Address. I guess using VPN you can select a server local to the out of market game. Anyone ever try or to the techie geeks - think it will work?

Following.
I'm curious about the same for MLB games through the MLB app (freaking Chattanooga is blacked out for Braves). Got a Macbook pro.
and...
for Firestick to possibly pick up Braves games.

I only use it when communicating with a Nigerian Prince. These guys are going to make a lot of money for me once I help bail his friend out of jail.

It does work, you can even set it to other countries and your Netflix will get a ton of new things depending on the country, like HBO, Showtime, etc shows that don’t have US streaming rights with them.

I use express vpn and it's around $100/year. There are many other solid options out there.
The main thing Use it for is to watch the hurricanes on ESPN+
I've used it many times to watch games that are blacked out as well.

I have not figured out how to get the Braves. I have ESPN + but it looks like they want another 24 for MLB.com?? And does that guarantee you Braves games?

I think with the VPN you select a router where the Braves are in market.

You can use a vpn to route your connection through an out of market server.
Subscribe to express vpn, connect to toronto or somewhere like that, subscribe to braves on mlb.tv and then you can watch all the games

Why are you paying so much? You can get Windscribe for $2 a month and it offers Wireguard configs.

Save your money and just use stream east. It streams ufc, boxing, football, baseball, and just about most relevant sports. Stream is spotty sometimes though, but its free.

My problem is when I put in the tv provider. You Tube does not carry Bally?? I had gotten the VPN a while back to see about placing some online bets.

Couldn’t see anything on that site.
So if I use a VPN to log into MLB.com is there still a fee to use the service?
Or is there somewhere besides MLB.com?
