Am I seeing things or does that electronic banner at the lower right of your posted picture say " Thanks for coming out to the Williams Bries " ? Are these morans so fouled between the temples that they can't even spell correctly the name of their very own football stadium ? Maybe it says something else and I am mistaken . Anyone ?

That should have made it easier to shoot them. Especially the ducks..... Those suckers can go.

Now that was funny. Unfortunately still not slow enough for me to hit them consistently.

an actual answer - upstate is always slow - the coastal

where i am was so flooded out that the woodys were plentiful but not patterned so not good - the December heat kept the migratories north - so not so good.
Heard the plantations banging away if you like to shoot tame birds let out of a cage.

There was so much water in my area that ducks had too much room to swim where it was dry last year. I found a fish in my deer stand 400 yards from the river.

No. So much water from all the rain that they were scattered. Too many options for them this year. My deer season was good though.

Had a great deer season. Duck season has been a steady decline the last couple of years. We have a really good set up where we used to kill 80-100 ducks a year out of our blind. The last 2 years have been about 30-40 ducks each year. Pretty terrible. We're in the upstate too, York County. My favorite season is almost here though, hoping to have some time off work to chase some longbeards

Around here in the pee dee us poor folks have to sit in the river on the other side of the duck impoundments and hit them as they are flying out in the mornings. The only problem is they are flying for their lives. Seems like they are going 70 mph across the river. Didn't go this year or last year. Too early to only see 4-5 that are way to high and way to fast to shoot.
Would really like to have some duck hunting land though. I have more deer land than I can currently hunt but no good duck spots.
Deer on the property were like locus. We put out 500 lbs of corn in each field and it was gone in a couple of days.

Short answer: No

The warm weather up north, combined with all the flooded areas here in the lowcountry made it an off year. The last week of the season was decent, but beyond that, a below average year by every measure.
Even my annual trip to Louisiana was cancelled because my bayou buddies said there were no birds.
