Portal is way to go. Get a player from portal and you have him at least until graduation or NFL. Get a HS kid and he still has his free transfer.

With the court order lifting the transfer restriction, even transfers will be able to transfer again. I don't know if the restraining order will last but something is going to give to alleviate the chaos. A lot of players are getting left out every year.
My tiny brain thinks making the Letter of Intent a contract with only specific exceptions is the only way but that = contract which then makes players employees and then all kinds of lawyers and agents have to get involved. It's the point of no return and we are in the chaos stage now.

Get a kid from the portal and you have him for one year. Then he can enter the portal again, and again.
Dillon Gabriel is just one example - UCF to Oklahoma to Oregon. Treshawn Ward is another - FSU to KSU to BC. There are several others.

Who did they get that is great. Collins is solid when healthy. QB they got is decent. Who is the great player or who are the great players they got? RJ Oben? They are doing okay, but not killing it. They are doing well with HS players from what I see.
