Looking forward to the NFL draft, Davis Allen was mentioned among Pro Football Focus' tight end superlatives for the 2023 class:

BEST AT THE CATCH POINT: DAVIS ALLEN, CLEMSON
While Mayer and Kincaid could have easily won this as well, I wanted to give some love to one of the more unheralded tight ends in the class. Allen’s ball skills are outstanding. He’s immediately going to be one of the better red zone threats at the position in the NFL due to his ability to play above the rim at 6-foot-6. His 38.5-inch vertical and 10-foot-5 broad jump at the combine were both elite numbers for the position. That showed on film, where he went 17-for-20 in contested situations the past two seasons.

Go Davis! Hope he catches on somewhere and sticks. Maybe the Panthers? That'd be cool with CJ Stroud throwing to him!

Regrettably, his skill sets were largely ignored and under utilized at Clemson. A waste ... as Allen was one of the most athletic and hardest working Tigers. Hopefully, Davis Allen is drafted by the right team who can maximize his potential at TE and special teams.

SocMan... remember that Allen shared TE with Brinningstool ans 2 other TE. Now, I don't know how the snaps were spreadout among TEs. I do agree that our TEs should have gotten more passes their way.
