ALERT: Scammer Selling Tickets on Tigernet

Heads up to those folks trying to buy season/single game football tickets on tigernet. The person goes by Jacob Lyle (Tigernet Username: TigerChamps811618). The story is very believable (son trying to sell his father's season tickets because of recent health issues), correct IPTAY account number, account holders name, screenshot of ticket application/IPTAY account from Clemson but it is a scam. I have sent money and did not receive my tickets. I confirmed with IPTAY ticket office that this is a scammer.

Sorry, but hope you have learned your lesson. BTW I have a 170 piece Ace Hardware tool set, A Ninga something from Kohls, a Camp Lejeune water settlement case number and a new security suite from McAfee I would like to unload.

Wow! I am sorry that happened. I would think that buying tickets on Tigernet would be safer than many other outlets, particularly with all the Iptay information. I hope you are able to get other tickets.

That’s really unfortunate. I have had several good experiences buying tickets from the Tigernet ticket listings. One of the key things I look for is the “member since….” date. I feel more comfortable dealing with someone who has been a TNet member for a long time. I also have a pretty in depth conversation with the person to help both of us feel more comfortable. It has been a few years since I bought tix from there so I was also able to make a straight hand off of cash for hard copy tickets most of the time. Funny story - when my daughter was a student I actually got her to meet someone to make one of these transactions and she told me it felt like I was having her do a drug deal. I made sure it was in public and her boyfriend was with her anyway.
