Bammers won the game, not the SEC. To say otherwise is ludicrous.

I think when you win 3 of the last 4, you can start talking

about a program dominating and not a conference.
Also, the SEC West has won all but 2 of their ("The SEC") recent MNCs so I don't understand why the idiotic circle-jerk doesn't extend into divisional rivalry. I mean clearly, the SEC West is where the best football in the history of mankind is being played...

I agree. About as asinine as Clemson fans chanting "ACC! ACC!" after Louisville beat Florida, especially since they won't be a league member until 2014.

Lonely no, and certainly not pathetic as someone cheering for a team as if they were a league member a full year prior to them officially joining.

I'm pretty sure that nowadays when a team chants the conference name, it's a tongue in cheek reference to the retarded nature of the SEC doing so in every OOC matchup.
If you're too stupid to note the ironic meaning behind the ACC chant, that's your problem.

Great article on si.com today from Andy Staples. If you're not part of the SEC (and you NEVER will be), you won't understand, but here's a passage from the article:
"When one team wins, the entire league celebrates. That may sound silly, but football simply matters more to people in the South than it does to anyone else. Southerners love knowing they can do their favorite thing better than anyone else, even if another group of Southerners actually does the winning."
AND
"S-E-C, S-E-C, S-E-C . . . Are you tired of hearing it? Do those three letters twist your guts and drive the bile into your throat? There is one way -- and only one way -- to make them stop. Go to the BCS title game and beat the SEC."

Bama to the rest of the conferences is a dynasty and King for winning 3 out of four National Championships when the teams in the SEC know they were not even the Conference champs in to of those years.

The SEC Championship game has become the de facto National Championship.
The entire conference, when they put several teams in the top 10 every year, has played tough, tough games against each other.
So there is mutual respect when one of their own wins the title, because they deserve it. They had to make it through the gauntlet, and one team emerges.
The SEC has mutual respect for their foe if they make it through their conference, because they all know how tough it is.

Funny how you disappeared after Clemson beat LSU. Now that Alabama won you're here again? They must let all of you SEC guys out only when there's something to try to brag about. Go home!

That isn't true. Right after the game I came here to congratulate Clemson. Check my posting history.
I didn't disappear at all.
I started posting more after the NCG last night to see if you guys were bashing the SEC, and not to my surprise, you guys were.

So you signed up for our message board so you could talk trash about us, which you then did, and then when you lost you left so that you wouldn't have to hear anymore of our trash talking about you, which you deserve, and now you are here to pound your chest for a team that you don't even support simply because they won a national championship and your team is in the same conference?
I get it now! Since the SEC is mostly based out of the three inbred states of Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi, then pulling for your rival, as long as they win, is like having sex with your sister, either way you get a nut right?

That makes no sense. When I posted before the game, I was posting things having to do with football. I don't consider that as talking trash.
You are talking trash when you say things like "inbred states of Louisiana...". I never did that.
And like I said, I never left after LSU lost. I came right back to the board after the game to congratulate Clemson fans on the win.
Usually how things work is, fans trash talk before games with good-natured ribbing. They will argue about the outcome of the future game.
Then the game is played.
The losers come back and admit defeat. The winners are supposed to be classy and talk about a hard-fought game.
That's how it usually works.
But apparently many Clemson fans didn't get the memo. After the win, they talk even MORE trash. Which is fine. Nobody can make some Clemson fans be classy in victory. I can't really say much as an LSU fan. You guys won.
I could have come back on here and talked trash about LSU's national championships and tried to troll you guys, but I didn't. I just congratulated you guys and let you enjoy the win.
I noticed you guys never respected the SEC before the LSU game. I came back after the Alabama / Notre Dame game to see what you guys were saying about the SEC after a 7th straight championship. And of course, still no respect.
It's always excuses:
They are on steroids.
They take money.
They are all thugs.
They are cheating in some way.
They aren't as good as people say.
ESPN loves them and voters are biased.
etc.
etc.
No respect. Just excuses. Just trash talking.
I saw this and just felt like posting in a few threads to defend the SEC as a whole. Not LSU.
