He said pretty much the same thing live on the mic during the game. He coached CK pretty hard which makes me think he’s trying to develop him quickly. Just my opinion of what I heard.

Dabo's bluntness with Cade is the equivalent of him pushing the accelerator on his development.

Yup. Every game Klubnik doesn't start this fall seems to be delaying the inevitable. I know the defense is great and the offense is young and missing a bunch of kids and going through a transition, etc., but I didn't see anything out of DJ today that makes me think 2022 will be any different than 2021. Let's just rip off the band-aid and make the switch.

DJ will start, and Cade will have to win the job on the field, on game days for everyone to see. Best man starts, and both will play……

Me and the wife were talking about this yesterday, Dabo has been like this with all the QBs expect DJ. Seems like Dabo can see that DJs confidence has been broken so treads very carefully when discussing DJ. Seems like Dabo knows Cade is cut from the DW4/TLAW cloth knowing he can take it and will use it as fuel to get better.

I think Dabo knows that part of the learning curve at college level is to avoid taking the big hit. Saw Tajh, DW, and TL go through this stage. Some learn it quicker than others. DW was a master at knowing when and when not to sacrifice his body for the needed first down, touchdown, etc. Some learn it faster than others.

DW wasn't master of it. First year was running QB all the time got better hurt several times. Next season cause OC told him to stay in pocket to let player develop

DW4 blew out his knee on a routine carry off the left end near the middle of the field with nobody touching him. It happens.

If Swinney don't start Klubnik game one of season maybe his coaching could benefit from smashes from Murphy

bogus it would have been instructive as well.
2-3 times at least long gains (by both QBs) were negated through incidental fingertip contact.
DJ had a really nice drive in progress having completed four passes and having executed a beautiful option pitch before he broke through a nice crease in the line only to be called down because he was touched by KJ Henry as he burst by the tackler.
He had a mile of green grass in front of him ...
These are things the coaches saw and appreciate even if the fans did not.
