It could be over this week if ESPN decides to put it to bed.
Amend the current sweetheart deal with the ACC so that it remains at the same payout level even if Clemson and FSU move along BUT stipulate that the move along has to be to an ESPN conference (aka the SEC) -- no damages for the ACC to claim as their monies remain unchanged (per member payout would actually go up). Only remaining hurdle is the Exit Fee -- needs to be small enough for the departing schools to swallow but high enough so other members are reluctant to take a bite out of that apple.

That happens anyway after June 30th. The contract can’t change because they wouldn’t drop below the threshold of 15 teams. That’s the only way ESPN can come back to the table. The contract allows for teams to come and go, allegedly.

The FSU attorney presented a great case. The judge is not going to allow a NC court to seize Florida property. The Florida judge is not happy about the ACC rushing to shop for a favorable court in NC. He will grant FSU motions for discovery and the ACC/ESPN will be screwed.
The Florida judge will get them to settle. As anyone not in the ACC's pocket knew would happen from the day this law suit was filed.

We may live to regret jumping in bed with the devil! For years we've been one of America's most admired schools for academics and what appeared to be a moral compass! Dabo has been inspiring to many coaches and programs have tried to emulate us! Now we have associated ourselves with common rapists and thieves from North Florida...That combined with the few extra $ we will get may serve us well!

I keep noticing all these Clemson is bad to sue the ACC, or The we made agreement and should stick with it, have low Tiger pulses. Cause they are all trolls. And want to keep Clemson in the ACC, because they know Clemson on equal revenue with other schools will eat their lunches.
