So. Big 12 the only conference with 4 schools from Texas. (TCU, TT, Baylor, Houston)

and Texas is 4X+ larger than NC.

Truth is the state isn't large enough to carry 4 power 5 brands. Luckly thanks to basketball, Duke/UNC are national brands. NC State has a large enrollement and a decent basketball brand. Sadly Wake is close to the bottom in terms of enrollement and will never carry the following of a power 5 school. If the ACC does not survive they will likely have the hardest time recovering.
