again about the Big 12. I know he's already flat-out denied it (lied, if we are indeed about to make the move), but with talk only ramping up instead of dying down, how long before a reporter gives him another chance to lie or fess up?
Does TDP give regular interviews with the media? Or, will he simply refuse all interviews until everything is signed, sealed, and delivered?
Or, are we all off base, victims of internet madness, whereby TDP is not a liar?

My money is with internet madness. This national championship situation is going to evolve over time. In my opinion the 4 team playoff is a trial balloon and it is successful it will be expanded. Hopefully the conference powers are being told that and there will not be a lot of rash decisions made because the sky is falling.

I have an interview with him Monday at 1:30. I hope I can get answers to a lot of questions at that point. I am also waiting to hear back from Pres Barker.

TDP in a very uncomfortable position, I would think. He's a big boy and all, and understands and handles these kinds of things well, but it would still be tough (for me, at least), if I had any integrity, to tell a bold-faced lie.
Basically, anything short of "No, no one, either in an official or unofficial capacity, acting on behalf of Clemson University, has had any contact or discussion with anyone from the Big 12 regarding expansion" would be an admission that there have indeed been talks, and would only add fuel to the already white-hot fire.
On the other hand, a flat out denial would do little to squelch the fire either.
Or, like I said, maybe we are all victims of our own irrational exuberance.
I'll look forward to the interview.
