4 big games for women's sports at home against Pitt starting tomorrow

Wlax definitely has a must win game against the 0-8 in ACC play Pitt. With a win, Clemson all but guarantees their spot in the NCAA tourney. Last year the ACC got 6 teams in the tourney, and there is no reason to think they won't get 6 in this year. An inexplicable loss to Pitt could put them firmly on the bubble.

Then the 3 games in softball aren't must wins, but they need to start playing up to the level they are capable of. It's been 9 straight games where they have struggled with one or multiple aspects of the game. They need to have a complete series to make me feel better about going on the road to Liberty and VaTech.

True. We've had flashes in a few games since then until you start digging into the specific details of those games. Namely the opponents. Very weak. Uva middle acc team, we struggled mightily but our pitching was off the charts. Scar, middle of sec pack.

Obviously we're a good team. How good, don't really know. We're unproven.

Middle of the pack programs in both the ACC and SECheat are good teams. Look at this past weekend. Virginia did beat FSU 1 of the 3 games. USuC has swept then #23 TA&M, took 2 of 3 from then #11 Florida, also beat #14 LSU and #16 Bama. The problem they have is all those wins were at home except the Bama game. They finish the season at Georgia, Home Auburn, and at Tennessee. See where they end after t hose 3 series. If they can win 5 of 9 to finish the season they could end up hosting a regional. our girls need to finish strong and win the ACC tournament to ensure they get a National seed and host both reginal and super regional.

Yeah, you didn't need to list their accomplishments. Well aware of what both have done. Read what I said. We're not a good hitting team since we started league play. Our sos is very weak. We should have dominated uva at least 2 of the games. We didn't. We had superior pitching.

Hey, I love em all like no other. Why I said, unproven. The way we're not hitting, at this point, I don't see us even playing in the acc championship game. We'll know more after the va tech series.

I agree with your softball comments. Our hitting has especially gone down. We were so good at mid-way point. I wonder what our batting average has been for last 9 games. We need our bats to get hot again.
