2014 ACC Divisional Alignment

Does the ACC really need divisions in 2014? Why not just put every team in the same pool, have 1 or 2 rivals you always play, then rotate all the other opponents yearly. Then, the 2 best teams in the conference compete in a conference championship game. It would certainly help avoid another GT/FSU Championship Game scenario.

i think the NCAA requires divisions for a title game

or requires divisions at 12+ teams, something like that.

What would happen if one team was 8-0, and two teams were 7-1, didnt play each other and didnt lose to a team the other team beat?

Divisions stay the same UofL will take UMD's place.

Looks like they would have lobbied to get in the easier division , but then again , FSU & CU could have wanted to play them every year. Whine all you want, UofL replacing UMD yearly is a step up.
